Brazilian congressional committee has debating whether torecommend the impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff overallegations that she manipulated government accounts to hidedeficit. President Rousseff has denied the allegations andargues that the accusations do not constitute an impeachableoffence. A simple majority is needed to go to the next stage ofvoting the lower house of congress later this week. An opposition politician Vandelay Marcris saidthe current government was paralyzed and the impeachment was the only way forward. “Wehope the impeachment is important to Brazilian society and that we can have change, and thatwith this change we can really begin to look to the future and to the light of the end of tunnel.Because this presidency, if it remains in power, it won't be in condition the govern(ing), that's thetragedy the administration we seen in our country today.”
