Ph.D. graduate assistant position with full financial support is now available before the fall 2020 at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Alberta, Canada. The student will be supervised by Dr. Xinming Li on the research topic of human factors and ergonomic risk assessments in industrialized construction.
Minimum Requirements: 1) B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; 2) minimum grade point average of 3.3 at the master’s and 3.0 at the bachelor’s levels; and 3) English Proficiency to be proved by TOEFL (minimum 90) or IELTS (minimum 6.5).
Preferred Requirements: 1) a master degree in Engineering; 2) strong programming skill in C#, Python, or/and Matlab; and 3) knowledge and experiences in a) human factors and ergonomics, b) 3D human body modelling c) computer vision and VR, or d) biomechanical analysis.
