Tasks: The selected candidate will work on a cutting-edge
collaborative R&D project to advance wireless technology and systems
and lead the development and testing of open-source software
waveforms and protocols. Leveraging existing open-source software-
defined radio (SDR) software libraries, the developed software will
be installed and tested on production-like outdoor testbeds using
networked SDR hardware and commercial 5G and IoT networks with fixed
and mobile nodes, deployed on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The
software will be provided and maintained through common code
repositories, offering diverse waveform and protocol profiles and
supporting users and contributors. The selected candidate will join a
dynamic and interdisciplinary team and work with researchers,
developers, faculty, students, industry leaders and diverse
communities. He or she will actively engage with the software radio
and experimental research communities.
Required Experience: OFDM waveforms, software development, software
repositories,
software radio software (e.g. srsLTE, GNU Radio, liquidDSP) and
hardware (e.g. Ettus Research USRPs), LTE.
Desired Experience: 5G New Radio, CRAN, massive MIMO technology, radio frequency(RF) front ends and RF engineering, mm-wave RF
systems, cognitive radio.
How to apply: Email your CV to Vuk Marojevic,
vuk.marojevic@msstate.edu along
with a motivation letter, describing relevant experiences and
research goals.
