罗切斯特大学计算机系Yuhao Zhu教授招收全奖PhD。秋季的申请截止为12月15号且免申请费。具体信息如下,欢迎有兴趣的同学联系。
Prof. Yuhao Zhu in the Department of Computer Science at University of Rochester is recruiting fully-funded Ph.D. students for Fall 2023. His research group focuses on applications, algorithms, and computer systems and architecture for visual computing domains such as Augmented/Virtual Reality, robotics, and self-driving cars. More about his research can be found at: http://horizon-lab.org/.
The lab’s work spans computer architecture, graphics, human and machine perception, optics, and image sensing. Students with interests in any of these topics are invited to apply. Students with keen interests in humanities (e.g., painting, archaeology, and cultural heritage) are especially welcome. Students will have the freedom to choose research topics of their own interests. Ideal candidates should have solid programming skills and mathematical foundations (e.g., linear algebra, calculus, signal processing, or optimizations). Background in computer graphics, computer architecture, or compiler is highly desirable.
Interested students are invited to send an email to yzhu@rochester.edu. The email should ideally include: 1) a brief statement on their research interests (and ideally propose a potential Ph.D. research direction), 2) the CV, and 3) profiles on code-hosting platforms such as GitHub/Gitlab demonstrating prior projects they have worked on.
Bio: Yuhao Zhu is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at University of Rochester. He finished his Ph.D. at The University of Texas at Austin, and held visiting research positions at Arm Research and Harvard University before joining Rochester. His work is recognized by the Honorable Mention of the 2018 ACM SIGARCH/IEEE-CS TCCA Outstanding Dissertation Award, multiple IEEE Micro Top Picks designations, and multiple best paper awards/nominations in computer architecture, Virtual Reality, and visualization.
