China have wide land and large number of populations. Although every people speak Chinese, but different area have different styles, which call “fang yang”. “Fang yang” also known as traditional languages, it is kind of bunches of Chinese, only use in some area. “Fang yang” is very complicated. The main different are in the  pronunciation, gramma and words. Pronunciation are the main issue. 2000 years before, Chinese people learn that there should be an united language for socializing compare to “fang yang”, mandarin could be understand by everyone. It is good for communication between different region.
