A fundamental question in neuroscience is how our brain processes innate and environmental cues in order to produce behaviorally relevant outputs. For this, we are performing two-photon calcium imaging, multichannel brain mapping, and in vivo whole-cell recording. With these modern techniques, our research will reveal how our brain optimally captures and modifies information.
