photonics research laboratory has graduate research assistant openings right now. our research interests include: 1) high power fiber lasers, 2) specialty optical fibers, and 3) nanophotonics and metamaterials. Students with a bachelor's degree or master's degree in electrical engineering, physics, or mathematics are encouraged to apply. Following areas of experiences are desired but not required:

experience with numerical simulation of electromagnetic problems
experience with experimental optics
coursework in optics, electromagnetics, and photonics
