美国阿拉巴马大学(The University of Alabama)电子与计算机工程系Dr. Shunqiao Sun正在招收多名博士研究生(提供全额奖学金,免学费),入学时间为 2020年春或者 2020 年秋。对申请者的基本要求:

Multiple Ph.D. Student Positions Available at The University of Alabama for Spring 2020/Fall 2020
Dr. Shunqiao Sun in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Alabama is seeking multiple Ph.D. students (with financial support including scholarship, research/teaching assistantships and tuition waive) starting from Spring 2020 and beyond.
1. A Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering, Computer Science or related majors is preferred. Outstanding undergraduate students will be considered too.
2. Strong mathematical background and proficient programming skills in Matlab, Python, or C/C++.
3. Previous research experiences with statistical signal processing, communication and information systems, machine learning and imaging processing are preferred, but not required.

Dr. Sun received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in Jan. 2016. From 2016 to 2019, he was with the radar core team of Aptiv, Technical Center Malibu, CA where he has worked on advanced radar signal processing and machine learning algorithms for self-driving cars. In Aug. 2019, he joined the ECE Department at The University of Alabama as an assistant professor. His research interests are signal processing and machine learning of next generation automotive radar systems for autonomous driving, radar/radio frequency (RF) remote sensing for global climate change, digital healthcare and smart home. The graduates of Dr. Sun’s group are highly capable for research and development jobs at autonomous driving companies, or at high tech companies working on digital healthcare and smart home. Dr. Sun has won the 2016 IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society Robert T. Hill Best Dissertation Award for his Ph.D. dissertation, MIMO Radars with Sparse Sensing.
