U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has arrived in Geneva aspart of a U.S. bid to reaffirm a U.S.-Russian mediated cease-fire.  The visit comes as violence escalates in the country, especiallyin its largest city, Aleppo, although Aleppo was said to becalmer Sunday. Russian General Sergei Kuralenko told Russiannews agencies talks are under way to halt the Syrianbombardment of the rebel stronghold in Aleppo.
