美国University of Alabama冶金材料系招收多名计算材料博士研究生

       Dr. Qiaofu Zhang (https://scholar.google.com/citat ... AAAJ&hl=en) 将于2023年Fall加入University of Alabama Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department (MTE)担任assistant professor。现招收多名全奖博士研究生，方向为集成材料计算（Integrated Computational Materials Engineering，ICME），材料开发（materials design）和3D 打印。
      MSE，ME或者Physics的本科或者硕士毕业生均欢迎联系和申请, 2023年秋季（现在仍可申请）,或者2024年春季/秋季入学。

About PI/Advisor：
     Dr. Zhang 2010年于中国科学技术大学applied physics本科毕业；2017年于the Ohio State University materials science and engineering PhD毕业（博士期间导师是计算材料和材料开发leader，2023年新晋美国工程院院士， Prof. Ji-Cheng Zhao）；随后加入QuesTek Innovations（美国领先的ICME和材料开发设计公司，公司founder是ICME和materials design的开创者 Prof. Greg Olson），先后任Materials Design Engineer和Senior Materials Design Engineer。Dr. Zhang有非常广泛的计算材料和材料开发经验，研发材料包括Ni-based superalloy, Cu-alloys, Al-alloys, ceramic-metal composite，和这些金属材料的3D打印。 Dr. Zhang领导和参与过多项政府和商业的materials solution项目，与工业界有非常紧密的合作和互动。

Research：
    Dr. Zhang's research focuses on ICME modeling to link process-structure-property of materials systems, and developing high performance materials and additive manufacturing process using ICME-based materials design approach with industrial applications. Research areas include:
    1.Materials informatics using high-throughput experiments and computational approach.
    2.ICME models development (Calphad models, physical-based models, and machine-learning models) to predict materials' microstructure and properties.
    3.ICME-based materials development and additive manufacturing.
