Two postdoctoral positions are available immediately in the Lew Lab led by Assistant Professor Tedrick Thomas Salim Lew at the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS). NUS is consistently ranked as the top university in Asia and among the highest ranked institutions globally.

Our lab design and develop nanoparticles to efficiently deliver proteins and biomolecules for plant engineering (Kwak & Lew, Nature Nanotechnology 2019), and to monitor plant defense pathways (Lew, Nature Plants 2020; Lew, Advanced Materials 2021). The Lew Lab is a new lab at NUS working at an exciting research field at the intersection of nanotechnology, biology and materials science. Successful candidates will work on developing new nanoparticles for targeted delivery and molecular sensing in plant cells, and on studying nanoparticle interaction with plant cell membranes.

Applicants must have:

• PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, Plant Biology or related fields.
• Published at least 1-2 publications as a first author in top international peer-reviewed journals
• Experience in nanomaterial synthesis and application in biological organisms
• Experience in protein, DNA, or RNA delivery with nanoparticles and bioimaging
• Experience in working with plants (desirable but not essential)
• Strong communication and analytical skills

申请人需要具有
