About the supervisor:Dr. Xue Wang is an assistant professor in School of Energy and Environment at City University of Hong Kong. She received her Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Xiamen University in 2015 under the supervision of Prof. Zhaoxiong Xie
and Prof. Younan Xia. During her graduate studies, she worked at the Georgia Institute of Technology as a visiting graduate student (2013-2015).
After her Ph.D. graduation, she was appointed as associate professor at Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics,
Chinese Academy of Sciences (2016-2017). Then she went to University of Toronto and worked as a postdoctoral fellow with
Prof. Edward Sargent, prior to joining the City University of Hong Kong as an assistant professor.  Dr. Wang\'s research expertise covers
nanomaterial design, electrocatalysis, and reaction engineering, with a particular emphasis on energy-related applications. To date, Dr. Wang
has published>60 peer-reviewed articles in high impact journals, such as Science, Nature, Nature Energy, Nature Catalysis, Nature Commun.,
JACS, Nano Letters, ACS Nano, and Advanced Materials.

Ph.D. Candidates:
Potential graduate students (including students who will receive/have received the bachelor degree or master degree) who are interested in the topics of sustainable electrocatalysis technologies for renewable energy storage & conversion are welcome to contact Dr. Wang at xue.wang@cityu.edu.hk with your CV, transcripts (UG/PG transcripts and English proficiency certificate), and publications (if applicable). English Proficiency requirement: Applicants from an institution where the language of teaching is not English should satisfy the minimum English proficiency requirements specified by the University. The University’s minimum English proficiency requirement for research degree programmes is a total score of 550 (paper-based test); or 79 (internet-based test); or 59 (revised paper-delivered test; sum of Reading, Listening and Writing section scores) in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) OR an overall band score of 6.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)~. TOEFL and IELTS scores are considered valid for two years from the test date and must be valid at the time of submission of application. Note: TOEFL iBT Home Edition and IELTS Indicator are not accepted.

Research Assistant

· Duties:
The appointee will mainly conduct research projects related to CO2 electrochemical conversion.
· Requirements
Our group invites candidates from disciplines in chemistry, chemistry engineering, material science and engineering, or a related discipline to apply. Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree is required for research assistant. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate strong motivation, critical thinking ability, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
· Salary and Conditions of Service
Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
