Job description
Dr. Shangpeng Sun's group at McGill University is seeking a postdoc researcher with backgrounds in computer vision, deep learning, and sensor fusion. The position is available starting from June 2023 (this is a 3-year project) and involves duties in the:
•    developing sensor fusion and computer vision methods (point clouds, RGB, multispectral/hyperspectral imagery, 3D CT imagery) for characterizing plant shoot/root architecture
•    publishing quality peer-reviewed journal papers
•    assisting with writing competitive grants
•    assisting with the supervision of other members of the laboratory
•    other duties as assigned
the postdoc researcher will have opportunities to collaborate with researchers with diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated skills in scientific writing, publications, and communication are needed.


About Dr. Sun's lab
our group is interested in developing machine learning, robotics, computer vision, and remote sensing technologies for high throughput plant phenotyping and crop spatio-temporal growth monitoring and modeling.
