【口语天天练-Lilly】beside the point

今天口语天天练的内容是beside the point
beside是在什么的旁边，piont,表示点，或我们说话的观点，
那么beside the point 就是偏离了那个观点，就是离题了，跑偏了，无关紧要，不是重点的意思。
你刚刚说的一切都无关紧要，我不想再浪费时间了：
What you said just now is beside the point. I don’t want to waste my time.
我知道他曾经结过婚，但那不是重点：
I know he was married before, but that’s beside the point.
